In a warm cosy atmosphere, you can refuel with a hot cappuccino made with fresh milk, and a piece of tasty home made cake, or quench your thirst with a cold beer.
The bar is open from 8am to 10pm.
Mountain air makes you hungry! The restaurant at the refuge offers a wide range of local Aosta Valley cuisine; Valpeulenentze layered soup, savoury pancakes, polenta, sausage, meat stew – to name but a few of the choices on the menu.
The self service restaurant is open from 12 noon to 2.45pm.
Due to water shortage in high season, we may use recyclable plates to serve food on.
The refuge can sleep up to 160 people, accommodated in 4, 6, 8, 10, 14 and 16 bedded rooms. Communal bathrooms on each floor. Because of chronic water shortage we cannot guarantee the use of showers and we ask for careful use of toilets.
It is advised to book.
At the present we do not ask for a deposit, which is often required in other refuges on Mont Blanc, but cancellations should be communicated to us as soon as possible.
A solution for those looking for intimacy, for families, or for disabled guests we have created Room 31.
The windows provide amazing sun rise views over the peaks of the Dru and the Verte and over all the 4000 peaks in the Aosta Valley.
One of the novelties of this year, on nice days the panoramic terrace provides a sheltered place to enjoy a drink or have lunch right in front of the summit of Mont Blanc.
